Mission statement
The Woman’s Auxiliary (WA) serves as a supplementary group within the Intermountain General Baptist Convention (IGBC) and is directed by the IGBC President. The WA is dedicated to the advancement of the kingdom of God at home and abroad through righteous living, and educating others in the knowledge of the Word of God.
Purpose
The purpose of the IGBC Woman’s Auxiliary is to:
Develop goals and outcomes that are congruent with those of the parent body.
Provide a forum for discussion, debate, action, and decision making regarding matters and issues affecting women of the IGBC, as well as, women in the community and women at the local, state, national and international level.
Our 2017- 2019 Theme: Theme: Spiritually Growing, Faithfully Serving
Focus Scripture: I Corinthians 4: 1-2
This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I Cor 4: 1,2
Our Goals
Worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth.
Be servant leaders in our communities.
Strengthen the love among the sisterhood.
Equip, Enable and Empower Women to Go Out and Bring the Outs In.
Our Objectives
Offer workshops, seminars, etc. for spiritual growth.
Conduct 4 general membership meetings and host 3 social gatherings.
Conduct 3 service projects: Spare Change, Hats and Gloves, Sonshine Bag.
Grow numerically.
Support the IGBC convention.
Continuing Traditions:
Each Women’s Auxiliary Group will select their own colors or identifying mark and will wear it at IGBC Women’s Ministry events.
The Women in White program moves from north to south Utah in alternating year. 2018 is a north year.
An overnight retreat will be considered.
$25.00 IGBC Assessment (benefits of membership: quarterly newsletter, supporting the convention)
Spare –Change –Can-Make-A-Difference – raise money to support the National Baptist Ministers Wives and Past President’s effort to build a wing of a hospital in Malawi.
